The Romance of Book and Sword

The Romance of Book and Sword released as Jiangnan Shujian Qing, in mainland China is a 1987 Hong Kong film by Ann Hui, based on Louis Chas novel The Book and the Sword. The film was followed by Princess Fragrance, released later in the same month and also directed by Ann Hui. The films are among the earliest Hong Kong films to be completely shot in mainland China with a full mainland Chinese cast.citation needed
